June 19 Open House scheduled to kickoff Sand Hollow Road Pavement Rehabilitation

Payette County – The public will have their first opportunity to review and provide comment on concept plans for the asphalt rehabilitation of Sand Hollow Road from Oasis Road to Black Canyon Road on Wednesday, June 19, from 4 to 7 pm at the New Plymouth Rural Fire Protection District Station located at 328 Southeast Ave, New Plymouth, Idaho.

Community members are invited to attend the Open House any time between 4 and 7 pm. Payette County staff, Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) staff, and design team members will be available to answer questions and receive input on the project.

The Sand Hollow Road Rehabilitation project will replace the existing asphalt surface, widen existing shoulders in narrow areas, and include new signs and pavement markings.  Prior to asphalt replacement, Payette County plans to perform ditch grading and culvert rehabilitation/replacement.  These improvements will increase safety and improve drainage. Construction is scheduled to occur in 2024.

Payette County and LHTAC have hired J-U-B ENGINEERS, INC. to complete designs for the asphalt improvements.

If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to be included on future distribution of project information, please contact Elizabeth Spaulding with The Langdon Group at (208) 685-9361, or
