City Council

 

The City of New Plymouth City Council acts as the legislative branch of our government, as well as its policy-making body. The Council looks to the city's goals, major projects and infrastructure improvements ranging from community growth to land use to finances and strategic planning. The Council's goal is to do the very best to represent their constituents after they've seen to the needs of the city as a whole. For more information on the roles and responsibilities of City Council, please see the related link below. New Plymouth City Council meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the New Plymouth City Hall.

Should there ever be a vacancy on City Council and you are interested in serving and filling one of four City Council seats, please download the questionnaire below and submit it to the City Clerk at City Hall. We will be happy to keep your information on file for future consideration.
